How is any of this legal ?

In December of 2018, President Trump signed the AGRICULTURE IMPROVEMENT ACT OF 2018 (2018 Farm Bill) which removed hemp from the DOJ's list of controlled substances.
Hemp is defined as cannabis with a THC (Delta-9) concentration of 0.3% or less. This distinction is what makes hemp and hemp based products legal.
All of the Honey Hills TX products comply with the 2018 Farm Bill, and are third party tested for your safety and efficacy.
In a later section we will explain how to read the COA (Certificate Of Analysis).

Is 'hemp' the same as marijuana ?

Hemp and marijuana are both varieties of the Cannabis sativa plant, but they have different chemical compositions, uses, and legal statuses.
Basically, hemp is defined as the cannabis plant that contains less than 0.3% Delta-9 THC.
Marijuana contains much more than 0.3% Delta-9 THC.

What exactly is legal ?

Products are legal if they contain less than 0.3% Delta 9 THC by weight, and are derived from hemp.
Some people think that since these products are made from hemp that they aren't as effective as products they may have seen in other states like Colorado. That's not true at all! The truth is that we can make hemp based products just as effective as ones seen in other states.

How old do I have to be to buy your products ?

You must be 21 to purchase any product containing THC.

What are cannabinoids ? How many are there ?

Cannabinoids are a group of compounds found in the Cannabis sativa plant. Cannabinoids exert their effects by binding to cannabinoid receptors, primarily CB1 and CB2 receptors, found throughout the body.  CB1 receptors are mainly located in the brain and central nervous system, while CB2 receptors are more common in the immune system and peripheral organs. The interaction of cannabinoids with these receptors can influence various physiological processes such as mood, appetite, pain, and immune response and all contribute to their therapeutic and recreational use.

THERE ARE THREE MAIN TYPES OF CANNABINOIDS:
Endocannabinoids: These are naturally produced by the human body. The two most well-known endocannabinoids are anandamide and 2-arachidonoylglycerol (2-AG).

Phytocannabinoids: These are cannabinoids produced by the cannabis plant. The most well-known phytocannabinoids are tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which is the main cannabinoid responsible for the psychoactive effects of cannabis, and cannabidiol (CBD), which is non-psychoactive and has various potential therapeutic benefits.

Synthetic Cannabinoids: These are artificially created cannabinoids, often designed to mimic the effects of THC or other natural cannabinoids. Some synthetic cannabinoids are produced illicitly and can be harmful.
We do not use any of these harmful compounds.

There are hundreds of cannabinoids in the cannabis plant. The most well-known cannabinoids include THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) and CBD (cannabidiol), but there are many others such as CBG (cannabigerol), CBN (cannabinol), and CBC (cannabichromene). Each have their own unique effects.

Are Honey Hills products safe ?

We like to say, “A LEGAL MARGET IS A SAFE MARKET
All of our products are sent to an independent, 3rds party lab for testing to ensure safety and efficacy.

Will I fail a drug test ?

YES !
A drug test will detect even small amount of THC, and they cannot tell the difference between THC derived from hemp and THC derived from marijuana.
So while state and federal laws do allow THC up to 0.3%, drugs tests only test if THC is present or not. Even 'full spectrum' CBD products can possibly contain very small amounts of THC.
We suggest avoiding cannabis products if you are concerned about testing positive.

Are Honey Hills products lab tested ?

Absolutely
All of our products are tested in an independent 3rd party lab.

Can I fly with hemp products ?

Yes you can. Products that are legal under the Farm Bill are legal to fly with.

Word of advice from personal experience
: Leave the product in its original packaging, especially for flower. The packaging should have a QR code that leads directly to the COA and other documentation. Don't open the product until you're on the plane!

What does Sativa, Indica, and Hybrid mean ?

Sativa, Indica, and Hybrid are the three primary categories of cannabis strains, each with distinct characteristics. Sativa strains are known for their energizing and uplifting effects, often used during the day to enhance creativity and focus. They typically have higher THC levels and are associated with a more cerebral or "head high." Indica strains, on the other hand, are known for their relaxing and sedative effects, making them ideal for evening use to help with sleep or relaxation. Indicas are often associated with a "body high" due to their calming properties. Hybrid strains are a mix of both Sativa and Indica genetics, offering a balance of effects depending on their specific genetic makeup, which can lean more toward either Sativa or Indica, or provide a more balanced experience
