Honey Hills TX was founded in 2019 by Philip and Leann Salmons.

Our cannabis/hemp journey began in 2014 when Philip moved to Colorado to pursue his passion for cannabis.  He and his partners established arguably one of the most respected extraction labs in Colorado, producing some of the best cannabis products in the state. The lab won numerous awards, but our favorite was the coveted "best edibles in Colorado" by Leafly. This award was for a line of edible products that included the infused honey!

Recognizing the need to start with high quality organic cannabis for our crafted cannabis products, Philip and his partners also designed, built, and operated an organic outdoor cannabis farm in southern Colorado. This vertical integration of the lab and cultivation facility enabled us to create consistently high quality products that were free of any pesticides, toxic chemicals, or other harmful ingredients.

We're not a startup,
we're a 'start over'

Texas is our home, and in 2019 we were finally able to bring  all of the knowledge and experience from Colorado back to Texas!  In 2019, HB1325 passed without opposition and gave Texas (back) our rights to cultivate hemp in our home state of Texas!  Philip took this opportunity to move back home to be with his wife Leann and start Honey Hills TX at our family farm right here in Caldwell Texas.

Philip served on the Texas Ag Commissioner's Industrial Hemp Council, and has worked closely with the TDA to advise and guide the implementation of the new Texas hemp program.
